Avery Paul
Recruit Profile
3 Sport Athlete ( Lacrosse, Basketball and Soccer) aggressive defender who uses size and strength on the low crease. JV Player of year in 2018-2019
I have been playing 3 sports since I was 5, however lacrosse is the favorite sport I play. I have played travel/club lacrosse since I was 8 years old and love the game. I play a physical game using my height and strength in defense to stand up an attack and pride myself on shutting a player down on the low crease.
Freshman year, I won the Francis Pitt Award that honors the JV Player of the year. I received this award for my accomplishments on the lacrosse, basketball and soccer teams and was a captain on the JV basketball team, even playing through a month with 2 sprained fingers and a broken toe. This past year I was 6th man on the Varsity basketball team that was ranked one of top in Maryland averaging 2 points a game and 3 rebounds a game.
In school I have a 4.0 GPA taking Honors Science and Math as well as AP Computer Science.
In addition to playing, I also ref the sports I play. During the 2019-2020 basketball season, I coached 1st and 2nd graders along with one of my teammates for the rec and travel basketball team we've played for from 4th to 8th grade.

Avery had a tremendous varsity basketball season this winter (19-20), earning increased playing time by embracing a commitment to defense and rebounding. Avery is eager to learn, works hard in practice, and is an engaged member of the team. It was a pleasure to coach her!

I had the pleasure of coaching Avery Paul for three years at Coppermine Lacrosse Club. During that time, she improved tremendously. Avery has great height and is a very strong player. She is great on the crease in 1v1 defense.
