Determined, coach-able, natural leader, high lacrosse IQ, multi-sport athlete, academic excellence
I consider myself a good person and a good student before a good athlete. I volunteer over 100 hours every year to coaching youth lacrosse between the ages of 5 and 12. On top of that, I am holding a 3.5 unweighted GPA (3.86 weighted) and recently scored a 1290 on the SAT. I am enrolled in AP US History as well as three other Pre-AP classes, so next year I can take the AP level courses. I also am on the varsity football team and am fighting to start at Center this year, as well as competing in the shot-put event for the winter-track team.
On the field, I am coach-able and a strong leader. On top of being able to save the ball, I pride myself on defensive communication, as well as effectively leading the clear. As a sophomore, I appeared in 4 varsity games and posted a 55 SV% and was 100% on clearing the ball. This year, I am looking to expand my role as a leader in the net as well as in the locker room.
The strongest points in my game are:
-Inside stops
-Communication
-Working the ball up-field on the clear
Currently I am working on:
-Stick skills
-Getting more air under passes over 30 yards
-Eliminating the drag in my recovery step towards the ball
