I can step to the ball quickly and track players' sticks to increase my saves. I play well under pressure and will leave the crease to get the ball up field and/or pick up ground balls. I am able to direct the defense in order to get offensive players covered and/or force turn overs. I recover quickly after setbacks.
My sophomore year's (2020-21) notable achievements:
All-Conference
High school team - state tournament qualifier
Leading goalie (mnlaxhub.com) / .720 SV% in regular season
All-Star Goalie - Arete League, Fall 2020
I have played on my varsity high school team since 8th grade and was the starter in every game my sophomore (2020-21) and junior seasons (2021-22). I've also played club lacrosse for Team MN 2023 since 2017 and traveled around the country competing in higher level tournaments.
I've been playing lacrosse since I was 10 years old. My first youth lacrosse coach asked me to jump in net and I've stayed there since. I also currently play high school varsity football and began playing in 3rd grade. I played hockey from youth through 9th grade as well.
I worked as an engineering technician and built microscopic parts used in surgeries. I have also worked in the summer at my youth lacrosse association as the goalie coach for U12 and U14 players.
I volunteer packing meals that are shipped to those in other less fortunate countries. I also volunteered several summers as a Vacation Bible School teacher to 1st graders.
In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, kayaking, snowboarding, bike riding, and spending time with friends and family.

Grant has great vision, solid footwork and stands big in the cage. He's a particularly strong shot-stopper around the crease. He has a command of the game and has the ability to hit quick outlets for breakouts. Likewise, he's calm outside the crease and can control the clear with intelligent ball direction. He possesses a solid understanding of what defensive positioning, rotations and slides should be occurring within the box.
